FAQ
What does being a BGMD Ambassador involve?
Ambassadors help amplify the message by posting on social media, lending their name to press campaigns, and optionally attending the annual May 23 Pink Carpet event.
How much time is required?
Most ambassadors commit to 1–2 social posts leading up to May 23 and participating in one media appearance or event activation.
Will there be media coverage or press opportunities?
Yes — we coordinate press, photos, and video features. Media kits are provided to your team ahead of time for approval.
Are travel and accommodations provided?
For in-person appearances, we provide transportation and lodging if needed. Virtual options are available for remote participation.
Do I need to contribute financially or fundraise?
No financial obligation is required. Ambassadors are welcome to fundraise or donate, but the main goal is using your platform to inspire and reach more girls.
Can my team approve images or posts before they go live?
Yes — we send all official graphics and captions for review so everything aligns with your brand voice and values.
What impact will my involvement have?
Your support helps expand mentorship, afterschool programs, and wellness resources to more cities — and shows Black girls nationwide that they are valued.
Will I get to meet the girls and families?
Yes, if you attend the May 23 Pink Carpet event, there are meet-and-greet and photo opportunities with participants and parents.
Who are the partners and sponsors involved?
We work with mission-aligned schools, nonprofits, and brands that share our values. A full partner list can be provided in advance.
How will my involvement be recognized?
Ambassadors are featured on our website, social media, and event programs, plus post-event press mentions.
Can I collaborate on programming or bring my own initiatives?
Yes — we welcome ambassador-led panels, workshops, or special activations to shape the experience for the girls.
