Black Girl Magic Day — Code of Conduct

We’re committed to a safe, joyful, and inclusive experience for every attendee, child, vendor, performer, volunteer, and guest.

Respect & Inclusion
• Treat everyone with kindness and respect, regardless of age, background, or ability.
• No bullying, harassment, or discrimination.
• Family-friendly language and behavior at all times.
Safety First
• Follow directions from event staff and volunteers.
• No drugs, alcohol, weapons, or unsafe/disruptive conduct.
• Children must be supervised by a parent/guardian or designated chaperone.
Participation & Timing
• Arrive on time for check-in, performances, workshops, and awards.
• Notify organizers if you cannot attend a scheduled slot (vendors/performers/volunteers).
Media & Photography
• Event photos/video may be captured for documentation and promotion.
• Parent/guardian consent will be requested before any child is featured in official media.
• No unauthorized filming/photography of minors without permission.
Vendors & Performers (Family-Friendly Standard)
• Music, content, attire, and displays must be age-appropriate and family-friendly.
• Follow load-in/out instructions, table placement, and performance schedules.
• Respect fellow vendors/performers and keep walkways/exits clear.
Zero Tolerance
• Harassment, violence, threats, theft, or hate speech = immediate removal and possible ban from future events.
Accessibility & Accommodations
• We aim to select venues with ramps, elevators, and accessible restrooms (availability may vary).
