Black Girl Magic Day: The Petition
I started Black Girl Magic Day as a community event in Harlem, held every year to celebrate and uplift little Black girls. From the very beginning, the vision has been bigger — to one day make it a nationally recognized day that celebrates and uplifts all girls across the country.
We’re not there yet — but every movement begins with action. For us, that action starts with signatures. We need as many voices as possible because this isn’t just about today’s girls — it’s about the generations to come.
📍 Live Petition Signing in Harlem
Join us on Labor Day across from the TD Bank at 100 West 125th Street in Harlem.
We’ll be filming our official campaign video to Congress — and kids may be asked a question on camera. This is their chance to shine and have their voices heard.
As a thank you for your support, we’ll be giving away free keychains, buttons, and stickers to everyone who signs. Children can sign too, with a parent present and permission.
Why This Petition Matters
This is more than a day — it’s a statement. Black Girl Magic Day is about joy, recognition, and building a culture where young girls feel celebrated. Every signature helps move this vision closer to becoming a permanent part of history.
