Black Girl Magic Day Club – Frequently Asked Questions
How do I enroll my child?
Enrollment is free. Families may join the VIP Waitlist to reserve a spot when registration opens.
Why a waitlist?
The program is launching in a pilot phase with limited seats. Waitlist families will get priority access before the public.
Does it cost anything to join?
No — the program is free to all enrolled students. We are working with funders and partners to keep it that way long-term.
What are Activity Packs?
Each week includes a themed Activity Pack (Pack 1–5). Packs contain supplies and instructions for hands-on learning. They ship monthly.
What if my child loses or damages materials?
Replacement kits may be available depending on funding and supply levels. Digital guides are always provided.
What ages does the Club serve?
Ages 5–16, broken into groups: 5–6, 7–8, 9–10, 11–12, 13–16.
How are activities different by age?
All students follow the same daily themes, but the activities are tailored:
• 5–6: Story-based, play-focused
• 7–8: Beginner crafts & exploration
• 9–10: Projects & teamwork
• 11–12: Leadership labs
• 13–16: Mentorship & entrepreneurship

I heard every member will get a free laptop. Is that true?
Not yet — but it’s something we are actively working toward. Our vision is for every student to have access to the tools they need to succeed. We are exploring funding and partnerships with companies to provide free laptops. Until then, families will need access to an internet-connected device to participate.
Does my child have to attend every day?
Daily attendance is encouraged, but recordings will be available for missed sessions.
Can siblings join together?
Yes, but each child will need their own Activity Pack to fully participate.
What should I do if my child will be absent?
Please let us know by emailing attendance@blackgirlmagicday.com at least 2 hours before the session. We’ll provide a replay and note any missed supplies.
Who leads the sessions?
Sessions are led by trained facilitators and guest mentors with experience in education, youth development, and leadership.
How is online safety handled?
All sessions are password-protected and moderated. Parents must complete consent forms prior to participation.
