Founder Bio — Tanika Salmon

Tanika Salmon launched Black Girl Magic Day in Harlem to center joy, visibility, and belonging for young Black girls. With roots in youth arts education and community organizing, Tanika leads BGMD’s annual Pink Carpet Event, year-round Club programming, and the national Day recognition campaign.
